In the area of taxation, he has held a range of positions in the Regional Offices of the Spanish Tax Agency in Vigo and Valencia, the National Inspection Office and the Tax Collection Department
He has focused his career in the accounting area, starting at the Accounting an Auditing Institute (ICAC in its Spanish acronym) where he held the position of Deputy Director General for Standardization and Accounting Techniques
He entered the Technical Department of Deloitte, where he advised on the changes required for compliance with the IASB regulations adopted in Europe
