Faustino Cordón Moreno

Bio

Faustino is member of the Litigation and Arbitration Academic Counsel at Gómez Acebo & Pombo.

Faustino Cordón holds a law degree from the University of Navarra (1975) and a doctorate from the same university in 1977, with an outstanding cum laude rating. He began teaching in 1980 as an assistant professor of procedural law at the University of the Balearic Islands as number one of his opposition.

In 1987, he joined the University of Alcalá de Henares as Professor of Procedural Law, where he remained until 1990 in a first stage, which he resumed in 2006 and which he currently maintains. In that intermediate period, he was dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Navarra and ordinary professor of procedural law. He also teaches courses and conferences at various European and Latin American universities, and assists as a guest professor in various master’s programs.

Cordón is the author of a dozen books, among which stands out the contentious-administrative process (Aranzadi, 1999),
The Implementation Process (Aranzadi, 2002),
The arbitration of private law. A brief study of the new Arbitration Act 60/2001 of 23 December (Civitas, 2005),
Arbitration and Jurisdiction: Some contentious issues (Civitas, 2010) and Comments to the Civil Procedure Act (Thomson-Aranzadi, 2001).
Faustino has also published about 70 scientific articles in collective works and in specialized journals.
