Education

Mónica holds a first-class honours degree in Law (Business Law specialisation) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1991) and a Diploma in Business Administration (1992) from Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid
She completed the General Management Programme (CPG) at IESE (2006), obtained a Diploma in Microeconomics from the London School of Economics & Political Science (1989), carried out PhD studies in the Department of Corporate and Commercial Law at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, including a visiting fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institut für Geistiges Eigentum, Wettbewerbs- und Steuerrecht, Munich (1998-2003), and passed the tests for admission to the profession of Industrial Property Agent (Spanish Ministry of Industry and Energy, BOE 14/9/98)

Professional career

Mónica joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo in 1996 and has been a partner since 2003. She is a Member of the Board of Directors, Head of the German Desk, Co-Head of the Food Group and Director of the London office (2015-2019)
