Bio

Richard is a Corporate M&A partner at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and contracting.

He holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento, California. He did a post-doctorate in International Law at the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento and Salzburg. He received a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland.

As an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Business Law Section he serves as the co-chair of the International Developments in Corporate Governance Sub-committee and has served as chair of the International M&A Subcommittee.

Richard has been featured as National Leader M&A and Governance by WWL. In addition, he is also recognised in prestigious legal directories such as Chambers and Partners and Legal500 as one of the leading practitioners in the areas of Commercial, Corporate and M&A. Finally, the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers has ranked him in the areas of M&A and Corporate Governance.

He has authored publications by Matthew Bender and Collier regarding Spanish law.
